Duck Interview

It’s interview day today at SantorumBlog.com… I’ve been after the Duck for a while, and he finally got back to me.
Before tracking Bob Casey, what did you do?
- I used to be just another duck in the pond, but ever since Bobby Casey showed up, I have found my true purpose. Casey ducks the issues, and I thought that I would be perfect to tell the story.
How many miles have you flown following Casey around the state?
- Too many. Mostly in the wrong direction.
What’s the most important issue facing Pennsylvania’s ducks?
- The fact that Bobby Casey gives us ducks a bad name. We ducks have never been so negative. Despite the name we really don’t duck the issues. It is my mission, as a representative of the duck community, to show that Bobby Casey is misrepresenting ducks everywhere by ducking the issues.
What was the funniest thing that happened to you on the trail?
- I went to a fair where Casey was (can’t remember where) and when I landed at the event, all the kids ran over to me instead of him. It was quite humorous, but I don’t think that Casey’s staff were too pleased. What can I quack? We ducks attract the youngest to the old.
Do you think the kids like you better than Bob?
- Wouldn’t you? So far, none of my duck charm has worn off on Bobby Casey. Casey is kind of like a child himself. Sometimes he wants to run over and hug me, but his staff always holds him back.
Bob Casey is one of the few pro-gun Democrats. Any worries?
- I don’t trust Casey with a gun any more than many members of his own party do. Once, I saw Casey handle a rolled up newspaper with too much gusto and ducked for cover.
I understand that the famous San Diego Chicken is available for gigs. Any word on a tag team?
- I generally don’t work with Chickens. But, I think you have something there. If Bobby Casey ducks the issues, then he is really chickening out too. Say, maybe there could be a spot for a stool pigeon as well.
“Rooster” was Rick Santorum’s nickname growing up, given that “the Duck” is the treasurer’s nickname, do you think that Avian-American equality has come along way in recent years?
- Yes. Avian-Americans everywhere are finally taking their rightful place in society. We have come a long way. Bobby Casey makes us realize that even the most misplaced and confused can find a home.
Finally, just between you and me, does the Wrong Direction Tour Bus have a lot of, ahem, droppings, on it?
- Well, dropping in on Casey is what I do.
Ha!
